Leggett & Platt Pro-Motion 2.0 Adjustable Base
The Leggett and Platt Pro-motion Adjustable base is designed for those looking to add additional functionality to their bed, without any of the superfluous frills that some other adjustable bases come with. With the Pro-motion you get a simple to use wired remote that allows you to choose the position of your head and feet so that you can find the most ideal position for your night’s sleep, or to watch TV. Paired with the right mattress this adjustable base provides you with exactly what you need, and nothing you don’t.
60 DEGREE HEAD AND FOOT ARTICULATION
By using the remote you can control the incline of both the head and the foot rest with the touch of a button. Both sections are capable of raising up to 60 degrees, giving you a full range of choices when finding the ideal position for any activity from sleeping, or watching TV.
DC POWERLIFT SYSTEM
The Powerlift system of the Pro-motion is capable of lifting up to 450lbs giving the base a recommended max weight capacity of about 550lbs. This ensures that this base is capable of suiting the needs of users of almost any height and weight. The motor in this adjustable base features “whisper quiet” technology, which allows you to adjust your position quietly.
Wired to the base the remote for the Pro-motion 2.0 adjustable base features very basic controls, six buttons allow you to raise and lower the headrest, foot rest, or both at the same time, Simple, easy, and effective.
MICROHOOK RETENTION SYSTEM
The Leggett & Platt Pro-Motion 2.0 adjustable base has been outfitted with their new MircoHook Retention system that helps keep your mattress in place without the use of a retention bar. Two bands of velcro like material attach to the mattress and keep it from sliding around during adjustment. If you choose to use a bed skirt with your base you will cover up the retention strips and need to use a retention bar.
The health benefits of adding an adjustable base to your bed are significant and varied. Most often asked about, adjustable bases can have an effect on a snoring partner; raise their side up a little to ensure optimal positioning for clear breathing and get back to sleep yourself! The Pro-motion can help with other ailments too, such as acid reflux, restless leg syndrome, and sleep apnea. Ask your doctor for more information and see if an adjustable base could help you sleep at night.
The most important safety feature included with the Pro-motion is the slow-fall mechanism. Should your power ever go out or the base lose power for some unknown reason, instead of collapsing back into the flat position, the head and foot rest will slowly return to the flat position. This will help minimize harm to any children or pets playing around your base, as well as minimize the disturbance to your night’s sleep as much as possible.
850 LBS MAX WEIGHT CAPACITY
One of the most important features of this bed is its high max weight limit. Most comparable bases stop between 500 and 650 lbs. A higher weight limit means much more resilient parts and less worry when the kids or the dog jump on your bed with you.
The only mattresses we carry that WON’T work with this adjustable base are our “Ultra-firm” comfort level, these mattresses are simply too stiff to articulate properly. The rest of our mattresses will work perfectly with this adjustable base and any others.
If you are looking for the best night sleep possible we recommend any of the mattresses in the categories listed below. These are designed to conform to your body, and give you the perfect amount of support right where you need it, this is the perfect complement to being able to choose the ideal sleeping position with your adjustable base.
