The Sealy Posturepedic Washington Blvd Cushion Firm mattress is a great choice for those looking for a medium firm comfort feel but don’t want their mattress too hard. This comfort level of the Washington Blvd mattress works well for back and side sleepers, most side sleepers however will find this mattress a little too firm. We recommend the plush model for side sleepers looking at this mattress. The cushion firm comfort feel does have a little extra softness to it, but it is still quite a firm mattress.
Like many of the Posturepedic Plus mattresses the Washington Blvd utilizes several different layers of foam to create the desired comfort level. On the top of this mattress and above the different layers of foam you will find the CoreSupport Center which adds a band of gel memory foam across the middle third of the mattress to bring extra body contouring support to the most used area of the mattress as well as the area where the majority of your body weight resides when you are sleeping. This feature also helps lengthen the life of the mattress by taking some of the pressure off the innerspring coils. Beneath all the comfort you will find the support! The Sealy Embrace Plus Coil is designed with individually encased coils that provide more personalized body contouring support while reducing motion transfer so you or your partner can remain asleep should one of you have to get up in the middle of the night.
New to Sealy’s 2015 catalog of mattresses is the Posturepedic Plus line-up. These mattresses improve upon the new coil system and upgrade you to the Sealy Embrace Plus Coil, while adding another layer of gel memory foam to the top of the mattress to help provide better contoured body support right where you need it. This is a great option that lies between the Posturepedic mattresses and the new Hybrid Premier mattresses. It carries some high end features, but not the high end price.
