What's the difference between Massage Tracks?

With the introduction of the SuperTrac roller system on the Ogawa massage chairs, a question has often come up. What is the difference between all of the massage roller tracks?

The roller track on a massage chair is the actual track that the massage rollers travel on. The massage mechanism travels the length of the track. Each track style has different points where the track actually stops. This is where you will see the difference between the track styles.

S-Track

The S-track is a track style that is curved in an “S” shape. This shape follows the natural “S” curve of the spine and allows the rollers to provide constant pressure along all the contours of your spine. The S-Track ranges from 26” - 32”, and reaches from your neck to around your tailbone area.

L-Track

The L-Track is an extension of the S-Track. The track has an “L” shape, but the part that travels from the neck to the tailbone is an S-Track. L-Tracks are usually around 50” long and will reach from the neck past the seat to massage the glutes. This is a great feature if you have lots of lower back pain.

SuperTrac™ Roller Technology

The SuperTrac is an extended track technology and only available on the Ogawa Active massage chair. The SuperTrac is an innovative roller track that is the combination of the S-Track and the L-Track. SuperTrac gives you the option to choose which track style you would like to utilize. Another big feature of the SuperTrac is that it can create an L-Track massage while in the optimal zero gravity positions. Many chairs do not allow the L-Track massage to move all the way down to your glutes, when in a zero gravity position.

Which Track Do You Choose?

When shopping for a massage chair the track style is really going to come down to personal preference. An L-Track can feel intrusive to some people, as they prefer their massages to stay in the back area. The benefit of the SuperTrac is that it allows you to utilize one style or another when choosing your massage. This way you can have one track style today and a different style in your next session. We have detailed descriptions of tracks styles in every one of our massage chair listings.
